unique selling proposition and perspective

16 June 2021

your "unique selling proposition" is what sets your company apart. in other words... what is it that sets your business apart from all others in the marketplace?

what makes you different from your competition?

it's actually quite easy to answer these questions given the knowledge of what a unique selling proposition is.

the "unique selling perspective" is the first thing you must possess if you want your business to succeed beyond the competition. you see, there is not only one kind of person who can be a successful business owner.

there are several different kinds of people who might be able to succeed in owning a business but fail to do so because they don't possess one or more of the above attributes. that is why it is extremely important for you to realize that you need to learn about these things if you wish to successfully create a unique selling perspective for your company.

the "unique selling proposition" (usp) is what is going to make or break your entire business.

if you don't believe me, just conduct some research on the internet and find out how many different business opportunities there are to choose from. furthermore, conduct research on the internet on the success stories of the individuals who have been involved in each of these companies.

chances are, you will find a common thread between these businesses that will help you create a usp that will help you become a unique selling proposition for your company.

once you have realized that having a unique selling perspective is what is going to take your company to "the next level", you can then begin to set about writing the usp. the usp will be an explanation of the quality of service, the quality of products, or the value added services that you provide to your customer.

most business owners will begin their usp by sharing a bit about themselves and explaining who they are as a person. this is actually very important; however, you should also include some good reasons why your company is different than the competition, and why your company will be better suited to provide the unique selling proposition that your customer is looking for.

once you have completed your usp, you can then begin to write the slogan combined with your usp. the slogan should be short and to the point and it should clearly define all of the benefits that you are providing to your customer through your entire business.

for example, if you are a pizza shop in an urban area, you might want to use a slogan such as "pizza shop... delivering hot and fresh", or " serving up a fresh, high-quality meal for children". these phrases can be used on anything that you want to promote from your pizza shop.

be consistent

one final tip that you should keep in mind throughout this process is that you must always be consistent in applying these usps throughout your entire advertising activities.

for example, if you are writing about pizza, you should include the phrase "pizza shop... delivering fresh and hot" on every single article or press release. if you want to learn more about starting your own home business, drop shipping, or even the usp model, we highly recommend that you check out our website.
